Blueground, a startup focused on short-term furnished apartment rentals, raised $140 million in equity funding that values the company at $750 million. The funding will be used to fuel expansion to 50 cities (from 15 today) by 2025.

DeepSea Technologies, the leading maritime technology specialist in vessel performance monitoring and optimization, has secured €5 million in fresh funding from existing and new investors. The investment reinforces DeepSea’s strong financial position and will enable further technological and product research, design, and development. The fresh funding will also be invested in accelerating the company’s international commercial expansion, which will focus on Asian markets.

Fantasy Sports Interactive (FSI) signed a milestone partnership with INTRALOT US, a leading player in the American gaming industry. Inaugurated in Greece, FSI has offices in the UK and USA. The agreement marks the company’s expansion to the U.S. market with a top-tier partner.

Lifebit, a federated genomics data startup, and Endeavor ScaleUp company raise a $60M round led by Tiger Global. This round will go towards driving global adoption of their software and accelerating breakthroughs in precision medicine.

Seafair raises $5 million to total funding of nearly $7 million. The company’s maritime recruiting platform vets seafarers and shipping operators and uses matching algorithms to fit crew members with the right vessels. Seafair’s new funding will be used to build more technology for seafarer vetting and expand in markets including Germany, Nordic countries, and the United States.
