| The Greek startup ecosystem has dropped three places this year, while remaining in the top 50 of the world. In particular, as shown in the new report "Global Startup Ecosystem Index 2024" by StartupBlink, which maps and evaluates the startup ecosystems of 1,000 cities in 100 countries worldwide, Greece fell to the 49th place in the global ranking, (with a score of 4,515). |

Greek startups have raised $490 million in capital since the beginning of the year, proving that the ecosystem remains visible on investors' radars and that innovation made in Greece is able to mobilise capital. Capital was raised in 46 funding rounds, involving 42 domestic and international investors. |

The Greek startup iCOMAT is raising $22.5 million, with the support of the NATO Innovation Fund. The company will use the funds, to develop technology for high-end applications in the fields of defence, automotive, aeronautics and space. Real estate data analytics company Ask Wire has announced the successful completion of its equity extension round, opening the way to its further expansion. This new capital injection will enable Ask Wire to accelerate its expansion plans across key European markets, particularly Greece and Romania, which have been identified as key strategic growth areas, a press release from the company notes. WeatherXM, core contributor to the WeatherXM Network, a leading decentralized physical infrastructure network, announced the closing of a $7.7 million USD Series A round led by Lightspeed Faction. The company plans to utilize this investment to grow the team, and the network, and continue research and development in crypto-enabled weather hardware and decentralized infrastructure. |
