Genesis Ventures invested an undisclosed amount of money in Finloup. Finloup, a fintech company with a buy-now-pay-later service proposition, will use the investment to increase merchant onboarding and consumer awareness. Raising awareness and improving onboarding rates is a major priority for Finloup which aims to partner up with leading digital agencies and software houses in Greece, by the end of 2022.
British online supermarket and technology group, Ocado, has agreed to buy materials handling robotics start-up Myrmex.Inc, for $10.2 million. Ocado has previously acquired a minority stake in Athens-based company, Myrmex, and tasked it with developing a system that automates the loading of containers with customer orders onto frames ready for dispatch from Ocado's warehouses.
In a record investment for the Greek ecosystem, the car-as-a-service startup, FlexCar, announced that it raised €210 million. The capital was led by London-based Fasanara Capital, with VentureFriends, Uni.Fund, Frontline Ventures, Seaya Ventures, and Arena Investors also participating in the round. The company plans to use the funds to expand to two more continents in the next year.

Matternet secures an investment from the 5G Ventures S.A. Phaistos Investment Fund, for their Series B financing round. With this investment, Matternet will establish a subsidiary in Greece where they will develop research and development activities as well as be in charge of Matternet Europe, managing the European Operations.
