Dimitris Papalexopoulos: To create is to take risks and think differently Dimitris Papalexopoulos is the Chairman of TITAN Group, a group founded in 1902 by five friends who returned to Greece to start the first cement industry in the Balkans. | Over 1 billion in fresh capital has been raised so far by Greek startups (or startups with Greek dna) proving that despite the general downturn in the global ecosystem, they can withstand the conditions of high interest rates. Although compared to previous years, funding is seen to be lower, market executives point out that 2025 will be a better year as a number of actions are coming that will once again strengthen the ecosystem. |

Brite Solar was selected by the EU for the European Innovation Council (EIC) Scaling Club, an EU initiative that aims to make at least one in five of its members companies worth more than $1 billion. The funding was EUR 8.6 million (Series A), with lead investor New Energy Partners. The European Innovation Council (EIC), Brace 4 Impact and Deep Capital Group also participated. Nvisionist concludes a strategic partnership with Toyota Group. Nvbird®, the world's first bird collision avoidance system for wind turbines, will be installed in two wind farms in Japan. the project will be carried out in partnership with the largest wind energy developer in Japan Eurus Energy Group - a joint venture between Toyota Tsusho Corporation and Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO). Indeex (formerly Oliveex), a start-up active in the field of digitization and optimization of industrial processes, was recently added to Uni.Fund's portfolio. The new EUR 1,000,000 Venture Capital round, the second in a row for the company, was led by Uni.Fund with the participation of the existing investor - TECS Capital, and will be used to further develop the product, strengthen the team and enter the Central European markets, which is already underway. Dyania Healthraised $10 million to automate patient chart review with AI. Dyania Health is using artificial intelligence to automate manual patient chart review, boosting providers' ability to comb through medical records and speeding up medical research. Evo Human Performance, ranked 22nd in the list of the fastest growing startups in Southern Europe, raised EUR 1.2 million from Uni.fund. With this round of funding, the company aims at accelerating commercial development and the development of diffusion tools. Workorb, a startup working on how companies in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industries leverage project data, has announced the successful completion of its seed funding round, which was finalized this past summer. The round was led by Metavallon VC and Freedom of Innovation Ventures, founded by Sang Kyun Cha, creator of SAP Hana. EMBIO Diagnostics, a Cypriot startup founded in 2016 and innovating in the field of diagnostic technologies with an emphasis on environmental sustainability, has recently closed a new round of EUR 2.5 million in funding. Based in Nicosia, the company develops technologically advanced devices for rapid detection in the field of food safety, air quality testing and environmental research. |
